Identity of a real Guru?

Ramkrishna Pramahamsa Vs. Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur, how the real came out and the fake exposed.

Ramakrishna Paramahamsa is a famous personality because of his topmost disciple Swami Vivekananda. Who later founded Ramakrishna Mission. Before knowing the pure devotion (shudh bhakti) knowledge, I was also inspired by the personality of Swami Vivekananda. His famous speech at the World‘s Parliament of Religions, Chicago, 1893. His inspiring quotes & his teaching about meditation by sitting in a particular posture. He fascinated many youths of the country including me with his mindboggling concentration power & intelligence. Today also his disciples are spreading the same philosophy, which is close to impossible for a normal human in this era to achieve through mediation.

But today I came to know the reality after reading the wonderful book of H.G. Srila Saraswati Thakur Prabhupad. Where everything got crystal clear in my mind. Many few of you might know that Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakura Acharya of Gaudiya sampradaya, met Ramkrishna personally at Mr. Nrsimha Datta’s home. He was invited to test Ramakrishna.

Mr. Nrsimha Datta was a common friend and wanted to know if Ramakrishna was real or an imposter, hence once he invited both to his home, and later asked Bhakti Vinod Thakura to test Ramkrishna. Ramkrishna Paramahamsa represented himself as an incarnation of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Ramakrishna visited Nadia, the home of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and Nityananda Prabhu. According to Ramakrishna, he had an intense vision of two young boys merging into his body while he was crossing the river in a boat.

So when Ramkrishna saw Bhakti Vinod Thakura at Mr. Datta’s home he began singing ya’re dekhile nayana jhure ta’ra du bhai (Those two brothers have come, upon seeing whom, one cries), and then collapsed as if unconscious. A few moments later rasagullas (sweet dish) were brought to Ramkrishna. After hesitating slightly, he ate some, but no one dared to offer it to Bhakti Vinod Thakura because the food was not first offered to the Lord. Later an untouchable item was brought, at first Ramakrishna refused, but then took a morsel.

Later returning to his place Bhakti Vinod Thakura proved the falsity of Ramakrishna’s theatricals, and of the whole impersonal school, by citing statements of bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu that categorically distinguished pratibimha-ratyabhasa chaya-ratyabhasa, and so on, from the symptoms of genuine prema.

Ramkrishna was widely lauded for having related to his wife as a mother, which supposedly demonstrated his transcendence of sexual desire. Srila Saraswati Thakur (son of Bhakti Vinod Thakura) considered Ramkrishna as Mayavadi for equating the workshop of demigods with that of Lord Visnu and for promoting himself as Bhagavan (God).

After Ramakrishna’s death, a disciple of his came to meet Srila Saraswati Thakura, and during the conversation, he asked if it was true that Srila Bhaktivinod Thakura had met Ramkrishna. On that he confirmed it.

So this story gave me joy because it again confirmed that I’m on the right track and under a perfect Master (guru).
